Cheap, Homemade Silver Cleaner
In order to keep our precious silver jewelry good as new all the time, one must clean it and polish it as often as needed. However, to do this, you have to buy first silver polisher as well as cloth polisher, which can rather be very costly. Also, some of the known silver polisher contains hard chemicals that can cause poisoning when ingested accidentally.
Well, if you want to save a lot of money from buying not so expensive silver jewelry cleaner, then you have an option to just use homemade silver cleaners. By just using the things that are usually being found in your home, you will easily maintain all your silver necklaces and silver rings as good as new.
Vinegar as a Silver cleaner
Vinegar is one of the most common thing uses to clean silver jewelries for it can be easily found at homes. For sure there is no kitchen that doesn’t have vinegars in it. Well, using vinegar in cleaning silver jewelries is very simple. By just mixing two cups of vinegar, two teaspoons of salt, and ½ cup of flour and gently making it into a paste, you can now have your own homemade silver cleaner. It can also be used on other metals such as copper and brass. By using this, you can safely clean all your tarnished silver jewelries without the risk of being poisoned.
Ammonia as a Silver cleaner
Ammonia is another homemade material that is being used as a silver cleaner. By mixing ¼ cup of ammonia with 1 cup of water, you will instantly have your silver cleaner. To use this, all you have to do is get a brush and dip it into the solution and use it to scrub your silver jewelries. After that, dip all your silver jewelries into the solution and let it be there for about 20 minutes. After that, remove your jewelries in it and then rinse it with water then let it dry with the use of a cotton cloth.
Tea as a Silver cleaner
You may be enjoying drinking your favorite hot tea but did you know that you can also enjoy using it to clean your silver jewelries? Well yes you can. To do this, simply dip your silver jewelries into a cup of hot tea and let it stay there for about 10 minutes. After that, remove it from the cup of tea, scrub it a little bit, and then wipe it dry.
