Vintage Elegance with Twist of Contemporary

This design is described by many of my customers as a vintage or antique design with a classic twist of contemporary. The elegance comes in with the wooden pendant, hand-painted by a Russian artist. She leaves no detail unturned, the fine lines and intercut shades in each flower petal is just breath-taking. The scene is so real, you almost want to reach out and caress each one of the flowers.

A perfect balance to this pendant is crystals and lots of them. I started at the base making a bail of hand twisted faceted crystals in coordinating colors to support the pendant. Next the necklace strands are crafted using more faceted crystal in deep olive, lively blush and light golden topaz.

A little antique design of a lovely pendant paired with the contemporary faceted crystals….makes for a very striking and stunning necklace design that is perfect for that night out on the town or special occasion.

Get the CZ Vintage Jewelry Look for Less

Vintage and bohemian inspired accessories are back in a big way, with laid back appeal and a certain sense of luxe. The great thing is if you don’t already own authentic vintage pieces, you can easily scoop them up this season. CZ jewelry is a great affordable alternative, and with so many new styles and settings to choose from, you might just get addicted.
CZ Vintage JewelryCZ jewelry can bring a vintage vibe to casual clothes and help to liven up neutrals. Look for pieces that will compliment interesting patterns, paisley fabrics and artistic accessories. Cubic Zirconia in rich hues like ruby red, deep purple and burnt orange works well with other earth tones. There’s really no wrong way to way this style of Cubic Zirconia jewelry. After all, your overall look should be thrown together, effortless.

Bohemian Cubic Zirconia jewelry is often made from dark metal and contains intricate shapes. Dangly earrings, long pendant necklaces and piles of gold bangle bracelets are all typical of this style. For this season, try a great pair of Cubic Zirconia earrings with a flowing blouse and fur vest. Pair with snuggly boots and a great hobo bag and you’ve got yourself a look that is not only cold weather friendly, but also fashion forward too. Boho Cubic Zirconia jewelry works well for any season and also makes a great gift. After all, the wearer or the recipient can easily make the style their own.

We’ve seen a lot mixing and matching of jewelry in 2009 and boho Cubic Zirconia plays well with that mantra. Add it to pieces from your current jewelry stash, and combine with different textures, lengths and color to create a truly unique look. For example, try polished pieces with fabric jewelry and mix hammered metal with more feminine touches. Nothing is off limits.

Vintage Jewelry Goes Modern

Do you love the look of antique inspired jewelry? Are you a fan of romantic art deco pieces? If so, then you're in luck. This season, one of the top trends in fashion jewelry involves a resurgence of vintage jewelry. From CZ jewelry in the form of clip on earrings to Victorian-esque necklaces tied on ribbons, these accessories are not only beautiful and fun to wear, they're also completely affordable.CZ jewelryVintage jewelry is typically romantic and uses elaborate designs and settings to show off bezel set stones. Authentic 50s and 60s era jewelry used rhinestones to create great looking pieces that didn't cost a lot. That trend is back, as CZ jewelry rules everything from the runway to the silver screen. CZ jewelry is a fun way to express yourself and in retro styles, it's a welcome break from some of the hit-and-miss jewelry trends that are so short lived.

If you're in your twenties, you can probably get away with wearing vintage looking Cubic Zirconia jewelry with jeans and a tank top. If you're in your thirties, try sporting the look with a LBD for a night on the town. If you're in your forties or fifties, try adding the jewelry to a sheath dress or a sweater set for a day in the office or lunch with the ladies.

Cubic Zirconia jewelry is classic and chic, making it a perfect compliment for more modern pieces. What's great is that you can easily find CZ jewelry that is cost-friendly. Look online for Cubic Zirconia jewelry sets or for replica pieces modeled after your favorite designer duds. With an investment like CZ jewelry, you can't afford not to get in on this trend. You'll be able to wear these classics this season, as well as for many years to come.

Vintage Jewelry Makes a Comeback - Fashion

Vintage Jewelry Makes a Comeback - A Fashion "Do"!
Remember rifling through your grandmother's vintage jewelry box when you were a little girl? Trying on those strands of pearls and vintage costume jewelry and dreaming of one day being old enough to wear them?

Vintage jewelry has long had a place on the red carpet of Hollywood (donned by the likes of Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett), but it's also just as acceptable to wear it for a night out on the town or to accent a professional look. Vintage has an old world glamour to it, an essence of classiness and a throwback to a time when dresses and pantyhose were a must. Now, mixing vintage necklaces or earrings with modern pieces provides an updated and relevant look, popularized even more with style-setters like Michelle Obama.

If you are lucky enough to have inherited, or be a collector of this type of costume jewelry, then you should know that authentic vintage jewelry sets are the most valuable of the group, given they are in good condition and contain all stones. If you love the look, but don't have access to hand-me-down pieces, there are several options. Many current designers offer this style of jewelry for a very affordable price. Another good bet is to check out the local flea market for deals on one-of-a-kind finds.

Vintage pieces can really dress up an existing look and can act as a good conversation piece. Your jewelry can help you to create a one-of-kind outfit that is sure to garner compliments. The look of antique inspired jewelry is best characterized by brushed metal, giving it that worn-in look and feel. Cameos pendants are a popular choice, as are chandelier earrings. There are many categories of vintage jewelry, so it will depend on how you choose to wear and style the pieces with the rest of your wardrobe.
