Fashion Getaway with Tory B.

People who know me know that I am pretty obsessed with just about everything Tory Burch designs. If I had my druthers (and an unlimited bank account), I'd probably wear her clothes, shoes and accessories almost exclusively. Her clothing runs long and fits me well (I'm 6' so this isn't always an easy task). Her shoes are stylish and she makes a ton of great flats (since I really don't need heels...nor honestly can my feet tolerate them very well). On top of that, her jewelry is eclectic and interesting and her handbags are divine and exceptionally well-made (I've had her zip continental wallet for about a year now and it still looks brand new). And I could go on. My husband makes fun of her "iron cross" logo, but I think it's cute. Honestly though -- and if I could, I would tell Tory B. this directly -- I could do with a little bit less of it. Yes it's clever, but we don't want to overplay it, do we? After all, how many Reva flats can a girl own before she starts to feel like a groupie?
Right now, I am particularly loving her resort and pre-spring collections (which, I should note, display a much more restrained use of her signature logo than previous collections). They're a really great mix of bohemian meets Palm Beach -- sort of a much hipper Lily Pulitzer (i.e., replace overuse of cutesy marine animals with ikat prints and modern graphics). Perfect for that winter getaway to the Caribbean that I'm dreaming of (and won't be taking this year). Here are some of my favorites:
