Black Berry Bold 9900 said to bring new Levels of Competition

As RIM learned the hard way, the inclusion of a touch screen on a Smartphone does not guarantee its success on the phone market. Some of the previous BlackBerry touch screens did more poorly than expected on the market, causing RIM to seriously re-evaluate their devices. It would seem that RIM has gone back to the drawing board, and have formulated touch screen devices that utilize the best in cutting edge mobile phone technology. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is one such device that mobile phone users are anxiously waiting for its release so they can get the opportunity to sample this particular phone. This particular version of the BlackBerry combines the advantages of a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen capability along with BlackBerry Bold 9900, making the BlackBerry Bold 9900 a particularly impressive RIM device.

The BlackBerry 9860 comes equipped with a fully touch 2.8-inch screen display as well as a full physical QWERTY keypad. This phone comes with the keyboard placed just below the screen display and is tried and tested for efficiency and use.

This is not only expected to increase convenience in use, but also make the phone appear like a business phone, a style that is unique to the RIM BlackBerry range. The touch screen has an impressive 480 × 640 megapixel resolution, design to impress even the most critical BlackBerry fan. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 also utilizes an optical pad in addition to the touch sensitive control for increased effectiveness and easier use. You can also enjoy BlackBerry Torch apps to use many applications that will enhance your journey to BlackBerry.

This version also provides an 8GB internal memory which is by far the highest internal memory present on any prior version of the BlackBerry. The BlackBerry Bold 4 further allows for an external memory card support of up to 32 GB, which is clearly impressive on any Smartphone. The BlackBerry Bold also incorporates 1.2 GHz processors that will do wonders for the devices’ performance. The new features do not stop there, as the device also uses the latest RIM OS 7, in addition to a new web browser as well as other options.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9900 offers the latest in mobile phone technology and will set RIM apart as a top Smartphone mobile provider. These incredible new features will appeal to an even larger Smartphone market and is expected to offer stiff competition to other Smartphone providers such as iPhone and Android phones. This is going to largely take over the lost market share in the phone market.

A Look at the BlackBerry Bold Touch

The BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 (also BlackBerry Dakota) is widely believed to be one of the best looking smart phones built by Blackberry. It is not only sleeker than even the BlackBerry 9860, but also considered to be more attractive and built better than most BlackBerry phones. Its weight comes to 130 grams and measures 115 x 66 x 10.5 mm. There is a full QWERTY keyboard beneath the display and is said to be one of the best keyboards yet. The phone boasts a spacious layout, with big keys that are considerably well responsive.

There is a 3.5 mm jack and a micro USB port on the left and a volume rocker and camera key on the right. The top only holds the power key. The back of the phone contains a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash as well as the battery cover. The phone’s battery is capable of up to 307 hours of stand-by and over 6 hours of talk time.

This version of the Blackberry has a 1.2 GHz single core CPU coupled with 768MB RAM. Like most modern versions of the BlackBerry Bold 4, the Blackberry Bold Touch uses OS 7, which is fast and responsive, and is made so by the Liquid Graphics Technology that the phone incorporates.

The music player is designed with a cover flow interface that is great for browsing the songs. It has good audio quality and contains all the standard options. This particular version has very good audio and video playback. The speedy CPU on this version of the phone greatly helps with playing DivX files, and has a 1280×720 resolution, offering a great display.

This phone has the ability to work in any country. Because of the OS 7 browser on the BlackBerry Bold Touch, web browsing is made very smooth and fast. This means that even complex pages are able to load in a very short time.
As in all BlackBerry phones, calling quality is good, and voices sound clear. Unfortunately, the Bold Touch 9900 is not capable of Wi-Fi calling although the signal strength is good.

All in all the BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 is definitely a great device, and one of the best BlackBerry varieties that gives you a great set of features and a great phone casing. The price of the phone is however quite steep, and there are cheaper version of the BlackBerry that can serve more or less the same purpose as the BlackBerry 9900.

BlackBerry 9900; RIM Saving Grace

The year 2011 has been a particularly hard one for leading Smartphone providers, Research in Motion (RIM) with the company said to have lost 4.3% share in BlackBerry OS. It was further revealed that RIM intends to cut 11 percent of its employees due to its struggle to compete with other Smartphones such as Apple iPhone and Android phones. There is no doubt that Apple iPhone and Android phones are considerably undermining RIM market share, but the firm has reported that this is bound to change with the launch of their new products.

One of these products that are expected to help RIM regain its lost market share is the new BlackBerry Bold 9900, which is widely expected to win over old BlackBerry enthusiasts, and win new ones as well. One of the features that has made the BlackBerry so popular is its QWERTY keypad, which is said to be the best ever made by RIM on the BlackBerry 9860. This particular keyboard boasts more spacious keys and newly added ergonomic styling, and typing emails has been made even easier.

Some might argue that a smaller BlackBerry screen is a huge price to pay for an advanced keypad (as the BlackBerry bold screen measures 2.8-inches) but the screen is touch enabled, making navigating through menus considerably faster and sleeker. The device also provides for better gaming, as the device supports great apps such as Rovio, makers of the smash hit Angry Birds game like the BlackBerry Torch apps.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 screen also boasts a 680 × 480 megapixel resolution, which makes it the best high-specs screen on any BlackBerry yet. Although the screen is relatively small, it is still great for viewing films and flicking through photos, thus making it a fair alternative to any version of an Android phone.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 also incorporates the best in Smartphone software and technology, as it has a BlackBerry OS7 platform that comes with several enhancements to make using the device faster and more up to date. There are also tweaks on this version of the BlackBerry such as HTML support, a BlackBerry browser, BlackBerry Balance and a voice activated search, all set to appeal to a wider Smartphone audience. The phone also boasts an impressive 1.2GHz internal processor and a 5-megapixel camera capable of shooting HD videos.

The BlackBerry 9900 could definitely be the saving grace of RIM. This device is definitely going to appeal to a wide audience and improve the sales for BlackBerry phones. The BlackBerry Torch price will definitely give other Smartphone companies a run for their money.
