Wired Agate Pendant Sets

Pendants are again coming back into style this season, many like either just the single pendant to wear with their own earrings and accessories; while others prefer to have a complete set with pendant and matching earrings. We've done just that, some of pendants have now been matched up with different earring designs, mostly in long dangle styles featuring tiny hoops and glass seed beads & pendants. Autumn Wonder in Brazilian Agate slice hand wire wrapped in brass non-tarnish wire; the light clear to beige-orange colors are earthy and soft for any outfit. Matching earrings are in tiny double hoops with complimenting colored seed beads and honey colored faceted pendant.  Pendant comes on the beige silk cord.

Clear blue season in another Brazilian Agate slice hand wire wrapped in silver non-tarnish wire; this one pendant shows more of the clear with just a few streaks of blue running along the side. Matching earrings are in tiny double hoops with glass seed beads and dagger shaped pendant.  Pendant comes on the blue ribbon cord.

  

 

Beauty in Brazilian Oco Agate slice hand wire wrapped in silver & brass non-tarnish wire for a two-tone look. The pendant has soft delicate features and colors of tan, rust, white, and hints of blue. The matching earrings are tiny triple hoops with two coordinating soft colored glass seed beads.  Pendant comes on the beige silk cord.

Inspired Arizona Turquoise

This design was inspired by the bright southwest colors of nature, specifically Arizona Turquoise chips; matched with pillow stones in Wild Horse Magnesite that has light brown/black/purple matrix, hints of gold saucer spacers and a stunning Brazilian Agate handcrafted in non-tarnish brass wire.

Spring in Turquoise Yellow Jade

This set is an early peek at the Spring line…….American mined Turquoise in really great shades of blue that has just a bit of rough in places, then mixed in a few Citrine chips and stunning faceted yellow Jade stones that all come together with the teal Brazilian Agate slice; also accented in non-tarnish brass wire.

Some of nature’s beauty comes from Tourmaline, Agate is also just as stunning as rarely do you find the same slices or geodes. In this new design, it is a mix of Tourmaline, red Garnet with silver end caps and Crystals; all highlighting a stunning Agate slice that is handcrafted in non-tarnish silver wire. Dangle teardrop earrings in the same Garnet and crystals completes the set.

Citrine Amethyst Agate

Historically, the name citrine is derived from the Latin word citrus, meaning “lemon”. Until the Middle Ages this name was used to designate a wide range of yellow stones. Citrine has been highly regarded as gemstone and healing stone for almost six thousand years. The soldiers in Caesar’s legions wore citrine on their chest because the stone was believed to have life-saving properties in battle. As befits its color, it is recognized as the stone of light, sun, and life.

Citrine is yellow to brownish quartz and resembles yellow topaz. It is colored by hydrous iron oxide, and is found in the same hexagonal crystals as the other varieties of crystalline quartz. Natural citrine is much less common than amethyst or smoky quartz, both of which can be heat treated to turn their color into that of citrine. Most citrine that is available is in face heat-treated amethyst, although heat-treated smoky quartz comes from some locations.

Citrine occurs principally in localities that produce amethyst, and it is sometimes found as a zone of citrine in amethyst, when it is known as ametrine. Gem-quality citrine is found on the Isle of Arran, Scotland, the Ural Mountains of Russia, India, France, Brazil, Spain, and North Carolina.

Citrine is believed to have healing and traditional properties of Intuition, comfort, protection, creativity, physical energy, wealth, mental awakening. The purer and more intense the color, the greater the stone’s healing properties. It is linked to the star sun of Gemini and Virgo.

In this new design, I’ve mixed both Citrine and Amethyst together, highlighted by a smoky purple Brazilian Agate slice.

An Art in Mosaic Turquoise

Though not entirely a natural stone, these beads are made from composites of crushed Turquoise bits. They make beautiful matrix beads and great additions to any piece of jewelry; rather the center of attention or as an accent to natural stones, crystals, metals or ceramics.







This piece is made with mosaic Turquoise, toffee ceramic beads, goldtone spacers, light gold glass seedbeads, and as a focal a beautiful deep brown Agate slice with crystallization in the center; handcrafted in bronze wire.

Strands of Stone Chips

Natural stones in chip form are sometimes hard to work with; often I use them as spacers or in earrings. In these two designs, I used them as the accent to the focal pendants. The pendants in both are beautiful Brazilian Ocos Agates; deep shades of green, black and white in one and the other is pure innocent of white. Each has been encased in handcrafted non-tarnish wire.





To the left is a 2strand in Fancy Jasper with the focal pendant of snowy white Ocos Agate.










To the right is a 2 strand in Snakeskin Japer, Sandy Opals and Swarovski Crystals, with a focal pendant of deep green/black Ocos Agate.
